Hawaiian Kayaking Adventure Self-Guided Tour- Kailua Beach Adventures
The Hawaiian Kayaking Adventure Self-Guided Tour was created by our head instructor and will please the expert kayaker who is searching for an adventurous experience while exploring at their own speed. Before you start on your journey, you will watch an extensive video briefing and will listen to lessons delivered by the experienced staff, preparing you for a unique and exciting day! This is one Oahu Kayaking adventure you won’t be able to forget!
Tour Highlights:
- Self-guided kayak tour in Kailua Bay
- Paddle to several offshore islands, which are seabird sanctuaries
- Swim and snorkel in turquoise waters and keep an eye out for green sea turtles
Tour Inclusions:
- All kayak and safety gear, including life jackets, dry bags and island landing permits
- Use of beach mats, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, secure lockers for your valuables and shower facilities
- Delicious lunch
Lunch Menu: Several options of meat and vegetarian,
hand-tossed pizzas, calzones, burgers, salads, and Korean BBQ,
sandwiches, sodas and juice. Vegetarian, vegan and other dietary
restrictions will be accommodated.

- Tour Times: 8:00 am, 9:15 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, or 2:30 pm
Check in at 15 minutes before tour time at 130 Kailua Road, Kailua Beach Adventures Beachside Center (View Map).

- Minimum age 8 years old.
Ages 8 to 16 years old must ride in a double kayak with a parent or guardian.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Guests will need to transport their kayak to/from the beach via cart (5-10 minute walk).
All guests must be able to swim at least 15 yards and be in reasonable physcal condition. A US Coast Guard Approved Type III PFD must be worn but is no substitute for the ability to swim.
Everyone in the party must be able to swim or you will not be able to go on the tour and will not receive a refund within the cancellation policy.
Guests with disabilities should contact the Kailua Beach Adventures Manager at least 24 hours prior to tour date for accommodations.
Activities are offered rain or shine. If Kailua Beach Adventures decides weather conditions provide a concern for safety they reserve the right to cancel, delay, alter, refund or reschedule a tour. They will usually still operate up to 22 MPH trade winds or from non trade winds sustained winds less than 15 mph and gusts under 22 mph. The exterior reef protects Kailua Bay in nearly all ocean conditions. Rentals & Self-Guided kayak tours to the Mokulua Islands will be restricted when there is a High Surf Advisory that requires it.
