Valley of the Rainbows Adventure
The Valley of the Rainbows Adventure Oahu Nature Tour brings you to the captivating, abundant rainforest positioned deep within the striking Valley of the Rainbows. One of the world’s best botanical gardens rests here, encircled by seven waterfalls and below lofty jungle trees: Lyon Arboretum. With Oahu Nature Tours, you and your family or friends are able to enjoy Oahu Tours in an intimate, guided setting through this unusual rainforest utopia. Over five thousand plant species reside in the fragrant mists that are created by just under 200 inches of rainfall annually. As the Valley of the Rainbows Adventure explores the majestic 200 acre garden, vibrant blossoms including orchids, bromeliads and hibiscus will encompass you as tropical birds’ songs fill your ears. You will be provided with useful information regarding the garden’s fascinating history and noble efforts to save some of the more unique and rare plants in the whole world. After leaving Lyon Arboretum, the Oahu Nature Tour will check out the quaint Chinese Great Ancestors Mound hovering on a grass-covered mount below Pu’u Pia. You’ll get the chance to learn about the interesting local mythology and history as you travel through the remarkable valley. The bright green, antique, cloud-swept hills have been witness to a consistent parade of uses on the valley floor from Japanese rice paddies to Hawaiian taro farms, coffee plantation, and cattle ranches.
The tour group will then visit Pu`u `Uala-ka`a, positioned 1048 feet above Waikiki. From this towering view, you are able to see a breathtaking 180 degree panoramic vista of Oahu’s picturesque coastline—and you might even be able to see a sparkling double rainbow arching across the gorgeous Valley of the Rainbows far beneath you.
